MENU D’INVERNO

(October 2017-February 2018)

We aim to produce a new menu for each season providing fresh, modern Italian cuisine with a strong Mediterranean flair using organic and free-range produce wherever possible. Children are most welcome. We offer dishes marked with a smiling face at half price for a child’s portion . Vegetarian dishes are marked with a V. Some dishes may contain nuts.

Allergies

Some of our dishes may contain nuts.We have gluten-free pasta available on request. Many of our menu dishes can be amended for people with allergies. Please inform your waiter if you have any allergies or intolerances and we will try our very best to create a dish to your specific requirements. We also have a list of allergens contained in our menu dishes which is available on request. We take allergies very seriously, and if informed we will do all we can to ensure you have a wonderful and safe dining experience.

Freshly made soup of the day, served with warm rustic bread.

Sfogliatina di Caprino al Balsamico V £5.50
Deep fried, goats cheese filo pastry parcel. Accompanied
with a home-made spicy red onion jam and drizzled with balsamic reduction.

Involtini di Salmone Affumicato e Gamberetti £6.95
Smoked salmon parcels filled with prawns, crème fraîche, dill and pickles.

Antipasto Rustico £6.95 starter £13.95 for two to share
A selection of cured meats, accompanied by Italian
speciality ‘street food’ nibbles.

PASTA E RISOTTO

Linguine al Nero di Seppia £6.95 starter £13.95 main
Linguine with black cuttlefish ink, garlic, fennel seeds and chilli. Tossed with fresh swordfish, king prawns and fresh baby spinach.
We can omit the black cuttlefish ink and serve in a light tomato sauce if you prefer.
Traditionally Italians do not serve cheese on fish pasta – but if you like it please ask!

Lasagna con Coniglio Funghi e Spinaci £6.25 starter £12.95 main
Homemade rabbit lasagne with mushrooms and spinach,
served in a rich tomato sauce and topped with parmesan.

Sedanini alla Scarpara £5.50 starter £10.95 main V
A typical Tuscan pasta dish with parmesan and pecorino cheese, melted into a spicy tomato, garlic and basil sauce.

Paglia e Fieno Cozze e Pesto £5.50 starter £10.95 main
Pasta ribbons in a luxurious cream sauce with fresh salmon and peas. Topped with rocket.
Traditionally Italians do not serve cheese on fish pasta – but if you like it please ask!

Risotto con Salsiccia Funghi e Dolcelatte £5.50 starter £10.95 main
An Italian sausage meat, mushroom and dolcelatte risotto. Finished with parmesan and rocket leaves.

V We can also prepare a vegetarian risotto if you would prefer.

Stufato di Manzo e Salsicce £15.95
Slow-braised diced beef and Italian sausages with winter vegetables in a rich tomato and red wine sauce. Served with mashed potato.

Filetto alla Senape £22.95
Grilled prime fillet steak with a red wine, cream and English mustard sauce. Served with potato wedges,
carrots and spinach.

Arrosto di Maiale Con Polenta £6.95 starter £14.50 main
Outdoor reared pork belly, cooked with star anise,
chilli and red wine. Served with mashed potatoes
and broccoli. A must for those with a healthy appetite!

Pollo con Pancetta e Porri £12.50
Free range chicken breast with bacon and leeks in a creamy parmesan sauce. Served with potato wedges, carrots and spinach.

Pesce Spada alla Ghiotta £15.95
Fresh swordfish in a light lemon, white wine, garlic and parsley sauce, with cherry tomatoes, olives and capers. Served with potato wedges, zucchini fritti and crisp salad.

Salmone con Cozze Pesto e Panna £15.95
Fresh poached salmon and mussels in a cream and basil pesto sauce. Served with potato wedges, spinach and broccoli.

Gnocchi Ripieni di Mozzarella e Pomodoro V £10.50
Gnocchi filled with tomato and mozzarella, in a rich spicy arrabiata sauce, topped with melted mozzarella.
