A La Carte Spring Menu


(February 2018-June 2018)

We aim to produce a new menu for each season providing fresh, modern Italian cuisine with a strong Mediterranean flair using organic and free-range produce wherever possible. Children are most welcome. We offer dishes marked with a smiling face at half price for a child’s portion . Vegetarian dishes are marked with a V. Some dishes may contain nuts.

Some of our dishes may contain nuts.We have gluten-free pasta available on request. Many of our menu dishes can be amended for people with allergies. Please inform your waiter if you have any allergies or intolerances and we will try our very best to create a dish to your specific requirements. We also have a list of allergens contained in our menu dishes which is available on request. We take allergies very seriously, and if informed we will do all we can to ensure you have a wonderful and safe dining experience.


Pane Rustico con Aglio al Forno V £3.95
Crusty rustic bread, served with a whole bulb of
slowly baked fresh garlic. A must for garlic lovers!

Bruschetta con Melanzane Caprino e Pomodoro V £3.95
Toasted artisan bread topped with spicy aubergine puree,
slow roast tomatoes and goats cheese. Finished with a
drizzle of balsamic reduction

Bruschetta con Spinaci Pancetta e Taleggio £3.95
Toasted artisan bread topped with spinach,
bacon and melted taleggio cheese.

Misto di Bruschette alla Buonissimo £7.95
A selection of the above breads, for two to share.

Spiedini d’Agnello e Chorizo £6.95 starter £14.50 main
Char-grilled marinated lamb and chorizo skewers, served with vegetable couscous. Finished with crumbled feta cheese and drizzled with a red pepper coulis.

Zuppa Fatta in Casa V £4.50
Freshly made soup of the day, served with warm rustic bread.

Cozze al Pesto £6.50 starter £11.95 main
Fresh mussels sautéed in garlic, chilli, white wine, and pesto.

Burrata Olio di Tartufo e Prosciutto £6.95
Burrata cheese with Parma ham and drizzled with truffle oil.
(Burrata – A mozzarella ball which is firm on the outside and soft and creamy in the middle)

Involtini di Verdure Grigliate con Provolone Piccante e Asparagi V £5.95
Provolone piccante cheese and asparagus wrapped with grilled Mediterranean vegetables, served cold with a roast tomato salad and chargrilled bread.


Spaghetti con Verdure Arrosto e Gorgonzola V £5.50 starter £10.95 main
Spaghetti tossed with roast Mediterranean vegetables and gorgonzola cheese. Finished with pecorino cheese.

Cozze in Brodo di Pesce con Cavatelli £5.50 starter £10.95 main
Shell on mussels in a fish brodo with artisan Cavatelli pasta. (Brodo – a bit like a minestrone soup)
Traditionally Italians do not serve cheese on fish pasta- but if you like it please ask!

Penne all`Arrabbiata con Pancetta e Melanzane £5.50 starter £10.95 main
Penne pasta with bacon, aubergines, basil and garlic in a spicy tomato sauce. Finished with pecorino cheese.
V we can omit the bacon for our vegetarian guests

Triangoli con Salsicce e Cime di Rapa £6.95 starter £13.95 main
Handmade, artisan filled pasta with sausage meat, cime di rapa and ricotta cheese. Tossed in a cream and pecorino sauce.
(Cime di Rapa – Puglian speciality of turnip tops)

Risotto al Profumo di Mare con N`duja £6.95 starter £13.95 main
Arborio rice cooked with fresh salmon, king prawns and fiery N`duja – a soft spicy Calabrian salami.
Traditionally Italians do not serve cheese on fish pasta- but if you like it please ask!


Coscia d`Anatra con Melograno e Marsala £15.95
Slow roast duck leg served in a marsala wine and pomegranate sauce. Accompanied with Jerusalem artichoke mash and cavolo nero.

Pollo Ripieno con Asparagi e Taleggio £12.95
Free range chicken breast stuffed with taleggio cheese and asparagus, served in a cream and pecorino sauce. Accompanied with diced herb potatoes, caramelised carrots and cavolo nero.

Salmone al Cartoccio £15.95
Fresh salmon, smoked salmon, king prawns and mussels. Steamed in a foil parcel flavoured with garlic, lemon, chilli and fennel seeds. Served with diced herb potatoes, caramelised carrots and cauliflower in pastella.
(Cauliflower in Pastella – Cauliflower coated in a light tempura batter)

Coda di Rospo con Salsa Aurora £19.95
Monkfish in a tomato, cream, white wine and tarragon. Served with a timbale of rice and broccoli florets.

Filetto con Salsa Piccante alla N’duja £22.95
Grilled prime fillet steak in a red wine, thyme and fiery N’duja sauce. Served with diced herb potatoes, caramelised carrots and cavolo nero. (N`duja – a soft spicy Calabrian salami)
If you prefer you can have the fillet plain grilled, just ask.

Sgombro al Vino Bianco con Capperi Finocchi e Olive £13.95
Grilled fillets of fresh mackerel in a white wine fennel, olive and caper sauce. Served with cauliflower in pastella, diced herb potatoes and crisp salad.
(Cauliflower in Pastella – Cauliflower coated in a light tempura batter)

Anelletti Vegetariani al Forno ai Tre Formaggi V £10.50
Oven baked pasta with Mediterranean vegetables and mozzarella, taleggio and provolone piccante cheese. Layered with spinach and eggs, served in a rich tomato sauce. Finished with herb bread crumbs.
