MENU D’INVERNO

At Buonissimo

We aim to produce a new menu for each season providing fresh, modern Italian cuisine with a strong Mediterranean flair using organic and free-range produce wherever possible. Children are most welcome. We offer dishes marked with a smiling face at half price for a child’s portion . Vegetarian dishes are marked with a V. Some dishes may contain nuts.

Allergies

Some of our dishes may contain nuts. We have gluten-free pasta available on request. Many of our menu dishes can be amended for people with allergies. Please inform your waiter if you have any allergies or intolerances and we will try our very best to create a dish to your specific requirements. We also have a list of allergens contained in our menu dishes which is available on request. We take allergies very seriously, and if informed we will do all we can to ensure you have a wonderful and safe dining experience.

Carpaccio of smoked salmon, served with fine beans and spicy beetroot. Drizzled with extra virgin olive oil.

Cotechino Lenticchie e Polenta £7.95
Slices of Cotechino, a rich Italian sausage with braised lentils and crisp polenta croûtons.

Panciotti Ripieni di Salsiccia e Cime di Rapa £7.95 starter £15.95 main
Handmade, artisan filled pasta with Italian sausage meat, cime di rapa (Puglian speciality of turnip tops). Tossed in garlic butter, sage and cavolo nero. Finished with Parmesan shavings.

Fusilloni Stracchino e Speck £7.95 starter £15.95 main
Fusilloni pasta tossed with Italian cream cheese, spring onion and crispy speck (smoked Italian Ham). Topped with Parmesan.

Spaghetti Gamberoni N`duja e Olive £7.95 starter £15.95 main
Spaghetti pasta tossed in a light tomato sauce,
sautéed with king prawns, N`duja (spicy Calabrian salami) and olives.
Traditionally Italians do not serve cheese on fish pasta –
but if you would like it please ask!

Garganelli con Crema Zucchine V £6.95 starter £13.95 main
Artisan pasta tubes tossed in a creamed courgette sauce with green vegetables, finished with toasted pine nuts and vegetarian Parmesan.

Risotto al Nero di Seppia £7.95 starter £15.95 main
Arborio rice with black cuttlefish ink, garlic, fennel seeds and chilli. Tossed with king prawns and fresh salmon.
Traditionally Italians do not serve cheese on fish pasta – but if you would like it please ask!
We can omit the cuttlefish ink if you would prefer.
V We can also prepare a vegetarian risotto if you would prefer

MAINS

Arrosto Di Maiale Con Pure di Patate £16.95
“Our signature dish” of out-door reared pork belly with perfectly crispy crackling in a red wine sauce. Served with mashed potatoes carrots and cavolo nero.

Nasello con Ceci Spinaci Limone e Peperoncino £16.95
Fillet of fresh hake sautéed with chick peas, garlic, chilli and spinach in a white wine and lemon sauce. Served with roast potatoes, fine beans and broccoli.

Gamba d`Anatra al Vino Rosso £16.95
Duck leg, slow roast with bay leaves and red wine. Served with mashed potatoes and cavolo nero (Italian black cabbage).

Melanzane alla Parmigiana V £6.95 starter £13.95 main
Layers of grilled aubergine “Parmigiana-style” with mozzarella, basil and rich tomato sauce. Topped with herb and vegetarian Parmesan crumbs. Usually the aubergines are deep fried: however, we grill ours for the healthier option.

Pollo Marsala £14.95
A free range chicken breast in a sweet marsala sauce and wild mushrooms. Topped with rocket and truffle oil. Served with fine beans, carrots and roasted potato.

Salmone con Salsa di Dragoncello £17.95
Salmon fillet in a tomato, cream, prawn and tarragon sauce. Served with roasted potatoes, broccoli and fine beans.

Filetto al Gorgonzola £24.95
Prime fillet steak in a cream and Gorgonzola sauce. Served with potato rosti, carrots and tender stem broccoli.
